Jump Jam on World Happiness Day

Yesterday was World Happiness Day and Brett from Jump Jam came to school. He did fitness with us and we danced to lots of music.

We danced to the minion version of YMCA, Afro Circus and the Coconut Song.

The best part was listening to the minions and the Afro Circus songs. We made letters with our arms for the YMCA and made chicken beaks with our hands. We also got to play imaginary drums for the Coconut Song and stretch to reach our toes with our hands when we sat down.

We think that it was even better than doing GoNoodle and dancing along to their videos.

Thank you for reading our blog post and please leave us a comment. Tell us what you think of Jump Jam. What is your favourite song to dance to?

  1. Hi Te Mahuri, We are Room 2 at HPS. We really enjoyed reading your blog post, your pictures are awesome. We also had Brett come and visit us and take Jump Jam! We loved it!! It sounds like we did the exact same songs. Our favourite song was the minion YMCA also. Did you get really puffed and sweaty?

    1. Hi Room 2! Thank you for your comment. Some of us got a little bit hot and sweaty, some people's muscles got a little sore from working out! We thought it was really cool and fun! It's cool that you also got to do Jump Jam with Brett too! What was your favourite part of the minion YMCS?

  2. Kia ora Te Mahuri,
I just love Jump Jam! It is so much fun and I like that I get hot and my heart gets pumping. I did enjoy doing the coconut song and I also enjoyed doing the minion song and watch people doing it sitting down. It made me think that anyone could do it, even if they find standing or walking hard.

    1. Hi Mrs Spragg! Thank you for sending us that lovely comment!

It might be a really good activity for someone who has broken their leg or can't walk. They might have crutches or a wheelchair but they could still join in doing it sitting down. Maybe you could do it as a hobby in the holidays with your friends!

What was your favourite song out of all them?
