Our Favourite Place in TM

We have a great classroom with lots of colourful walls, displays and some cool as wobbly chairs. Lots of people's favourite place is our reading corner because it's a quiet chill place where you can go to calm down if you need it. Stella, Dakota and Dylan really like this spot. We have a colourful rug and some comfy cushions.

The small room is also a good space to calm down and it's really quiet to sit and work quietly in. Sahil really likes this space. Angel-Mey really likes the teaching jelly bean table because it's got wobbly chairs and they help her concentrate. Bridie really likes the mat because she likes sitting down and listening. She think's it's comfy and really nice to sit next to people.

Devran really likes our Carb Break tables because he gets to make his own yummy sandwiches when he's hungry at Carb Break time! Riley and Levi love the calm down box area because there's lots of stuff to help people calm down.

We made a graph to help us with our statistics and probability learning about where our favourite places in our classroom are.

What do you think of our graph? What's your favourite place in your classroom?

Our Class Novel

Since the beginning of school this year we have been reading Roald Dahl's book called The Witches. We have been pretending that our teacher Miss W is a witch but the book is great.

We have heard all about the narrator who lives with his grandmother and ends up accidentally going witch hunting. The Witches are all disguised as ladies and they really like to turn children into strange things.

We're really enjoying reading the book each day - you should read it too!

Have you got a class novel for 2019 yet? What is it and is it good? Perhaps we should read it next!

TM2's Class Treaty

In TM2 we have a class treaty. We have to follow the things on our treaty so that we're being a HERO and being responsible. It reminds us how to act so that we can learn. Our class treaty helps us to remember to think before we speak, use safe hands and feet and kind words.

It pretty much means that we're just being nice people and showing respect to everyone no matter who they are in our classroom.

We also have to be CyberSmart and look after our devices and ourselves when we're online. We make sure that we're kind, sensible and safe online. We also make sure that we use Des and Troy when we're carrying our Chromebook.

All About TM2

Hello we are TM2 and we want to tell you about our class. We have two ends in our class, one is TM1 and we are TM2. We are year 3 and 4s and Miss Walters teaches us with Ms Lange.

In TM2 we use ClassDojo to give out rewards and points for when we're being good and being responsible with others. We've been colouring our name tags on our boxes and organising our stationery so that we can find everything when we need it. We visited the pool and the library yesterday on our first day back. We went swimming and got to jump in. Ms Lange challenged us to see who could pretend they were sitting on the bottom of the pool reading a book.

We also have some posters to help us with building a growth mindset. It encourages us to do new things even if you find it difficult or hard. We have a timetable on the whiteboard so that we know what we're doing all day and we have to remind Miss W to change all the time! We're really lucky to have a school pool and a library. We also have our own chromebooks and we're learning to respect them and be Cybersmart with them. We get to have a sandwich for Carb Break every morning. We get to choose peanut butter, marmite, vegemite or butter.

Merry Christmas!
