Crazy Commenting!

This week we have been learning about leaving positive, thoughtful and helpful comments. We worked with Miss Morgan and watched a video about being true and kind online.

Then we talked about how to leave a comment and what we wanted other people to know when they were commenting on our blogs.

We decided to make some animations because we love doing them. We made animations to teach people how to be positive, thoughtful and helpful! We looked at Devran's animation and we really liked how he made a pretend computer screen and blog comment with his two characters!

Have a look and see what you think!

  1. Kia ora TM1,
This is such a cool way of sharing how to write a good comment! I really enjoy making animations, do you?
I wonder if the thoughtful makes a connection to you? How do you know who Andy Warhol is?
I look forward to reading more of your commenting in the future!

    1. Tēnā koe, Miss Morgan!

Thanks for a lovely comment, but we're TM2 :) Zara says she likes making animations and Bridie loves animations because she gets to see all her hard work at the end when she watches it back.

Our thoughtful comments relate to us because we're making a comment on another friend's blog and it's showing that we have read it and thought about what the person has done.

We know who Andy Warhol is because we have done some research and some art based on the strawberry pictures that he made. We designed our own and now they're in the library. Do you like Andy Warhol? Have you ever seen his art before? Maybe you could try making some?

We look forward to your next comment on our blog!

  2. Hello Te Māhuri,
We liked how you followed the rules of writing a comment, and how the characters in the animation were being positive and interacted nicely. We are using the advice in your animation to write our comment now. We were wondering who Andy Warhol is? Perhaps next time you could tell us more about that.

    1. Hi Team Toi Toi!

      Thank you for your comment!

Devran created his animation using google slides and he had to get a background using the explore tool and practice ctrl + D to duplicate the slides and move things around each time. We had been working on our Andy Warhol art so we decided to put him in our pretend comment!

Andy Warhol is a famous artist. You can read more about him here https://kids.kiddle.co/Andy_Warhol :)

Looking forward to your next comment :)

  3. Kia Ora Te Mahuri,
We really enjoyed reading your blog post about commenting on blogs. We have been working really hard to leave positive, thoughtful and helpful blog comments too! We don't have our own blogs yet but when we get to year 4 we think we are going to be pretty good at it. What other things do you learn with Miss Morgan?

  4. Tēnā Koutou Room 2!

Thank you for your lovely comment. We can see that your comments are positive, thoughtful and helpful! You even asked us a question - ka pai!

We are very lucky because we get our own blogs in Year 3 and the Year 4s can help us learn to blog. We also look at your blog and other children's blogs at our school, as well as Kererū at Wigram Primary :)

We get to learn heaps with Miss Morgan like blogging, finding information online, keeping ourselves safe online and making sure that our private information is safe!

Have you been doing blogging with Miss Morgan?
