Furry Friends

This morning we had a lovely visitor! Ruby's grandmother came into school with her dog!
Her dog was a chihuahua and his name was Remington!

We learnt that they are the smallest dog in the world and that Ruby's grandmother has had him since he was 8 weeks old. He was very fluffy and smooth and he wears outfits. Today he was wearing his school uniform. Ruby likes to put clothes on Remington when it's cold!

We got to sit in a circle and pat the dog. Everyone got to have a turn. We put all the facts we know about Remington into a Venngage, because we were learning how to use it this morning!

Have a look - do you know any facts about chihuahuas?

  1. We really enjoyed your post about the Chihuahua. We were very interested in the facts about Remington. We didn't know that they are the smallest dogs in the world and that they like to wear clothing. Some of the students in our class have people they know that have Chihuahuas too. They said that they are very energetic and love to run around.
Some facts we know about dogs. Did you know that a fox terrier can catch rats? Or a farm dog isn't interested in other people, they only are interested in their owners?
Thank you for your enjoyable post about Chihuahua's we would love to have a dog visit our classroom.

  2. Great Vengage TM1, lots of colour and NO spelling mistakes! I like that it isn't too busy so I wasn't distracted from all the interesting facts. Tino Pai! Maybe we could use Vengage as reading follow up, what do you think?

  3. Hi Te Māhuri,
It is so cool that a chihuahua came to visit your classroom, and that he has a school uniform. We have been learning to use Venngage too, so we liked seeing the poster that you made.
